Coffee Maker Station is a buying-guide site for home coffee equipment. We help people choose between drip brewers, espresso machines, grinders, kettles, and the accessories that make them work — and we help them keep that equipment running.
Why this site exists
Coffee gear is sold on claims that are hard to compare. Two machines both say “barista-quality espresso”. One has a 54 mm portafilter, a PID-controlled boiler, and a documented pre-infusion routine; the other has a pressurised basket and a steam wand that cannot hold a stable temperature. The marketing copy is identical and the practical difference is enormous.
Our job is to translate specifications into consequences. A 1.5-litre reservoir is not a number — it is whether you have to refill halfway through a second pot for guests. A 40 mm burr set with twelve adjustment steps is not a spec — it is whether you can dial in a pour-over grind without going past the setting you needed.
How we work
We research from manufacturer documentation, published specifications, and aggregated buyer feedback. We do not conduct hands-on physical testing, and we do not pretend otherwise — no machine on this site has been purchased or measured by us. We think stating that limit plainly is more useful than implying a level of verification we have not done. It also tells you what to do with our guides: use them to narrow the field and understand the trade-offs, then check the manufacturer’s own documentation before you buy.
